Today during our lunch break a co-worker was telling us about a ‘passion party’ she went to the night before. She was really excited because she said that the woman who was throwing the party told them how to use sex toys like vibrators and anal plugs. I didn’t say anything because it was at work, and I definitely don’t want the reputation as being the employee with all the kinky sex toys, but I was so surprised that a grown woman felt like she needed to be told how to use sex toys.
Outside of basic safety issues, like not using electric sex toys in the water unless they are specifically made to be waterproof, I think people should open themselves up to using sex toys however they want. Sex toys don’t have just one use. A vibrator can be used so many different ways on both men and women I can’t even imagine how a hostess at a passion party could cover all the possible ways they can be used in one evening. My husband loves when I run my vibrator along his nipples- not a use someone who didn’t know how to use sex toys would probably think of.
Part of the fun of kinky toys is discovering new uses for them. Instead of telling people how to use sex toys we should be convincing them that there is no wrong way to use a sex toy.
