Hoo boy, I'm not even sure what I'm doing here. You can call me, well, Faleena. I'm a 21-year-old woman living in the U.S. Lately my sex life with my boyfriend has been kinda stale and there are some issues, so I thought perhaps I would poke around a place like this for some ideas to spice things up or simply jump-kick my obnoxiously low sex drive. And of course for my own enjoyment, haha.

So uh, hi, everyone. =P

Tabu is a good place. Faleena, it is like sitting around in someone's living room talking with friends, only with much more interesting subjects than usually come up in a small party.

Welcome. Look around and see what you like to talk about. This place is pretty no holds barred.

Faleena: welcome. You said your sex life needs a jump start, but why? What's the problem? Is it you or your lover? Have you had the same problem with other lovers? To give you any kind of intelligent advice we'd have to have more specifics. Not to be nosy just helpful. Think about your problem and tell us what your think is wrong. Hank

The problem is both of us I think, haha. What we REALLY need is communication, because we're terrible at it in the bedroom, so I won't go complaining too much right now about the details until I've tried actually talking to him about things. =P I'll probably chat about it all in some of the other discussion threads.

Thanks for the welcome, everyone.

Sweetie, Roadie and I have learned that communication is the key to a wonderful sex life. There isn't anything we can't talk about in our relationship. We ask very up front questions and give honest answers. This is how a couple can find out what makes their relationship tick.

Actually talking about your relationship (especially the sexual part) can be tough when you're young. Usually you just let the body language do the talking. But as I've aged, I have found (like Dreamer says) that open communication is essential to every part of my relationship. Once you start, it gets a whole lot easier. You'll probably find that he has similar issues but didn't want to be the first to open up. So someone's got to do it. Just be frank, as if you were talking to your girlfriends.

If your sex drive is low - take yourself to a mental place that excites you. Watch a little porn or something of a sexual nature. Read a dirty novel or some erotica. Masturbate and use your boyfriend as fantasy material. Look at him the way you did when it was all new...tell him how much he excites you. Send him racy texts during the day to build the anticipation at night. Hope some of this helps!

Yikes, sorry I haven't been back here in a couple months to reply. If I don't have a website bookmarked I tend to forget it exists, ha.

Tabu Mod, that is some excellent advice. For me to want sex (or have any hope of getting off), I have to really, REALLY be in the mood mentally. I've tried watching some porn beforehand once or twice but when I would go to steal him off to the bedroom he would be busy doing something else or something similar would fall through. For the past few months my sex drive seems to be completely non-existent, though... I should probably save all this for its own thread though, ha.
