I dont know you nor do you know me from Adam's house cat. But I gotta tell ya, dude...you are fast becoming my hero. Not only does your age not bother you...you are about as wide open as they come. Your observations are a great inspiration to those of us (me?) that are fast approaching the age of CRS Forever!

I am 'only' 54...but I'm taking notes. I hope that when I get your age, I am going as strong as you are...not to mention I hope Dreamer can keep up...lol

And your wife sounds like an absolutely magnificant woman. My best wishes to her!

I will read your posts whenever your name shows up...and put it with the rest of the ones you have done.

Dear Roadie: Thanks for the kind words of encouragement. As you will find out, getting old is a real bitch and unfortunately it's going to happen to us all. I would like to see some of us who are experiencing life's little tribulations as we get older share our solutions with each other here because with this anonymity I we can be honest and maybe prevent each other from constantly having to re-invent the wheel. My age so far hasn't been the biggest or the only problem I've had to face and it won't likely be yours.
The biggest difficulty you are liable to experience is the "machine"  wearing out and you having to find new ways of keeping going and enjoying life. Having been disabled three times in my life I'm no stranger to that kind of conflict and I've learned that you just can't quit, you have to be able to think your way out of a problem. An example would be that as you develop osteoarthritis to the point that the missionary position becomes unbearable for  you wrists, fingers and hands you have to think about another way of you and your partner to get to the same result. For me, it was an observation in a porn movie where the actor had his partner on the end of a table and I thought why not? The end of our bed was our solution. With me standing up I"m not in pain and my wife is relatively comfortable.
That wonderful wife of mine is the main reason I like to wake up every morning. She's kept me happy and healthy for twenty four years and every night I still want to make love to her, curl her up in my arms and go to sleep with her. I think we "senior citizens" have some unique problems and we should be able to share our solutions for the good of all of us. Hank

How did I know you were in Southern California? Call it instinct. While not born there, I was raised in San Clemente. Altho I left in 74...I still consider it my home as my mother still lives in the house we moved into in '69.

Think you may have come up with another good idea for a Board Topic...call it Old People Sex...where those of us approaching a certain age can give our insights...like you do so freely and openly. Just something for our Moderator to think about!

I find your comments interesting about your current marriage. For the first time, I find myself with a 'younger' woman (she is 48). This is  a first for me. My first two wives were older than me, as we several woman I dated. But my life with her is what I thought my life would be when I was in my 20's. I, too, find myself eager to get up every morning so I can get to work so I can get home to her. And the week ends!!! Holy Crap!!! Don't know if I am reinvigorated or reinventing myself...but the sex is INCREDIBLE! Now I wish I was in my 20's...lol

I guess I have been blessed with good health, as I have no major issues I have to deal with...except the normal things associated with age. Namely, I'm not as energetic as I once was. Fortunately, Dreamer is working on that!
