Okay, enough of this shit! I am not a size 1. Hell, I am not a size 8! Honestly now, I want to know how many of you out there reading these blogs or shopping for lingerie on this site, actually LOOK like the women on THIS or ANY sex toy or porn site? I might be just having a bit of a pity party right now but as I am thumbing through the different outfits I am becoming more and more discouraged seeing all these beautiful sexy women looking flawless in their little see through bodysuits, which incidentally I must say I am just seconds away from adding to my shopping cart, but that’s why I feel I have earned a right to bitch. Not because I am angry at my size, or my lack of a ripped set of abs and perfect smile, but because I think I AM the average consumer, and I love who I am (most of the time) and well, I think THAT’S sexy and I would LOVE to see more women who honestly reflect me represented on this site. I LOVE the selection here, I mean it wass hard to find really sexy stuff in plus sizes before I came here, and the prices are great too, and I love that I can get on this blog and kvetch a bit, so that’s why I’m guessing that if any site would listen, tabutoys.com would.

Come now. I think I'm pretty damn hot but not enough to be a catwalk model and I don't have a problem with that either. But the whole point of marketing is to show off the product to it's full advantage, is it not? Lingerie is clearly a fantasy item and I would be more inclined to buy it off of Angelina Jolie than Kirsty Alley even though Kirsty represents the average.

^ I disagree. I think it would be nice to see lingerie, costumes and the like on real people. How will it really look? A perfect model can make almost anything look good.

There are plenty of plus sized models featured as well as size 0 models. Your real beef is with Dreamgirl, not tabutoys. They do not employ these models - they use stock photos provided by the manufacturer. If you are confident with yourself like you say, buy the lingerie and rock it out! Who cares what's on the damn package?

I'm a super small woman with A cups. I ain't complaining that my tits don't fit into the one-size-fits-most outfits! There are no ads that reflect my lack of size. None. Cleavage is everywhere. So what? I like myself plenty. And if I didn't, I'd change it.

Leave tabu alone - bitch at the modeling agencies.

Oh girl, you just got my pet peeve. I used to work in a swimwear store where women would practically attack me because the tags on the merchandise. I always got this "WHY DON'T YOU SHOW PICTURES OF REAL WOMEN???" shit, as if me or the store had anything to do with it. Or they would look at me like I was the enemy because I was a size 6 and they weren't. I don't get where all this anger comes from. Like Rosy said, blame it on the manufacturer, or even better, blame it on society because they wouldn't use that "skinny bitch marketing" if it wasn't selling.

Ladies, for what it's worth I hate buying clothes for the same reason but don't stress over it anymore. We do live in a very artificial world governed by double standards where there's some abstract ideal we never seem to measure up to. So raise hell with the designers, the manufacturers and the vendors, not the clerks, and boycott the ones who don't comply. And let them know it loud and clear! For now, relax, get the best you can for what the almighty gave you and dress it up with a big confident smile for your lover. When I buy a new outfit for my wife I know she worries how she'll look but to me she's the most beautiful woman in the world and I make sure she knows I wouldn't trade her for a playboy center fold. I totally ranted before, so i'll be calmer. But look at advertising everywhere. It comes from the suits behind the big payroll. Not the retailers. It's all about eye candy and photoshop. Sad, huh?

It's unfortunate. Even plus size retailers use models that are actually smaller than their clothing sizes. They'll have a size 8 model pinned into a size 14 outfit, sad but true.

Hopefully, there are good reviewers out there who actually take photographs of themselves in the lingerie to help customers. I did that once for another e-tailer and I'm thinking I should do more lingerie reviews because women do want to know- WHAT DOES IT ACTUALLY LOOK LIKE?! We're not all 5'10" and 80 lbs soaking wet and we're not plastic mannequins either.
