So, your husband isn't feeling quite as randy as he used to? According to Lysol's 1950's advertisements, it's probably the fault of your evil, filthy lady parts.

“Instead of blaming him if married love begins to cool, she should question herself.” According to this retro-minded public service message, a woman should “safeguard her dainty feminine allure by practicing complete feminine hygiene” with… a pine-fresh household disinfectant. Pictured is a distraught housewife who obviously didn't get the memo on keeping her feminine area spic and span.

Is it any wonder our Grandparents had trouble with sex?

And on a decidedly unsexy note, this vintage Heinz ad needs to be seen to be believed. What do you suppose it means when a soup company uses a marketing lead-in like this:

"Most husband's nowadays have stopped beating their wives.."

Apparently that was 30's speak for "Buy the tomatoe soup or you'll get one -pow- right in the kisser."
