Aww, this is getting ugly! Does everyone already know about Janine versus Sandra Bullock? If not, catch up with this article from the Frisky (via abc)

Seems sad to me that Janine had custody before she went to prison and now that she's out, the step-mom wants to keep her child. People are calling Bullock "America's sweethart" and of course, Janine's the evil porn star with tattoos. First off - America's sweethart? I remember old interviews with Bullock where she was proud of having multiple boyfriends at a time. Sweethart! Sorta sounds like the porn world sans video.

And the whole tattoo issue? Her ex (Sandra's now husband) is riddled with them too. I don't understand why people have these ridiculous ideas that inked up people can't be good parents or something. And doesn't she have a son from James too? Where's he? (or i could be wrong on that one) Lots of people who make big money have these "tax-issues" (aka convicted felons) and they keep their kids so I don't really see what the problem with joint custody is.

They've talked about drugs (and Janine admits using in the past) but I haven't read about her drug "problem" until now. Maybe someone can fill us in...

I honestly don't know who's side I should be on. And it has nothing to do with their occupations. I have mixed feelings about parents on drugs, even if it's past tense. Because a young child ( I know from experience from a neighbor I knew and hearing stories from my sister's social work job) is severely traumatized by a drug addicted, possibly neglectful from an early age) and if this was the case than I could understand the adversion to allowing Janine to take custody of her child. Otherwise, I think the mother should take the child.

And yes you are right about America's odd love affair of wanting to praise certain celebrities, although history has taught us, or have tried teaching us  that it's usually the "good" people who are truly bad and fall hard.

I'm still waiting for the Jonas Brothers to admit to breaking their purity vows or years later rumors of sexual relationships with groupies or even Miley Cyrus (who also changed her tune in the matter of two years). Plus, I don't see the point of the media teaching kids about waiting anymore, it's a very bias ideal in our society.
