Ok, I'm a little upset. So my partner and I were invited to a barebacking group last week and their guest list is the hundreds! Self-proclaimed barebackers??? Needless to say, I am somewhat shocked that this is happening in 2008. The disease potential boggles the mind! I mean, come on...HIV documents can be forged. Just look at the Marc Wallace porn scandal. Those people are tested every other week and he still managed to infect several women! And then there's also the matter of HPV, herpes, syphillis, it just makes my skin crawl. Don't get me wrong-What consenting adults do with their own bodies is their business, and I don't presume to make ANY moral judgements about lot's of people having lot's of sex, but lot's of [glow=red,2,300]unprotected [/glow] sex is a whole different story. Especially when these same people are "cross breeding" into more traditional swinger's clubs and groups (where people are typically VERY careful.) It just doesn't seem ethical. It's certainly going to make me question who we play with from now on.

Some people just have a deathwish I guess. Wake up and smell the AZT!

Much like crash helmets the benefits of having worn a condom will only become obvious just after you really wished you had worn one. ...Why does it burn when I pee?

Barebacking in the lifestyle is just plain f***ing irresponsible. You know something bad will come of it and then they'll blame the entire swinger scene.

While barebacking has primarily been a gay culture phenomena it's rapidly gaining popularity on the hetero swinger scene. Is this just another rush for the thrill-starved or is the sensation of non-barrier sex really worth the risk? In the interest of hearing both sides of the story here's a statement from BarebackSwingers.com:

Bareback swingers like to experience sex as nature intended, naked, comfortable and feeling each others juices.

Women often suffer from dryness and soreness after using condoms, as the chemicals used react with their natural lubricants and dry the up. No one wants to keep stopping whilst playing to apply a bit more lube. There are also a lot of women who dislike the smell and taste of the rubber, latex or spermicides used and decline to have oral sex with men who are, or have been wearing a condom.

The lubricants delivered by the penis during sex also helps to keep both parties properly lubricated for ultimate enjoyment. Many women also enjoy the feeling of cum being delivered into their pussy, not being wasted in a condom which is why they choose to play bareback.

Many men suffer from the droop when asked to use a condom, the constriction caused by tight condoms reduces or even completely eliminates their erection.

Any other barebackers out there?

The wife and I always use condoms, except for oral. Its hard for her to go down with a condom in her mouth but she doesn't let anyone ejaculate in her mouth, with the exception of me. I've gone down on several women and I've never used a dental damn. I've never even seen one used at any of the lifestyle parties where we hang out. I know there is a some risk to this kind of behavior but it is pretty minimal. People in our community are usually pretty careful so we aren't that worried but ofcourse there is always that little seed of doubt..but yah. Having unprotected vaginal/anal sex with a group of people you don't know? We just won't go there.
