This is directed to the site administrator:

I love your Forum as it has been a wonderful source of information that you can't always get else where but you seem to have a lot of people posting irrelevant advertisements, (spam). I guess that's what you call it. Frankly that's why I shit canned AOL. Can't you occasionally review what's been posted and purge those entries and save us the time of having to look through them? The other day when I logged on half the new entries had nothing to do with my interest in sex or your available merchandise. That's when I emailed you and asked what one of them was because I couldn't see the relevance and you said it was spam. By the time I read through a couple of those entries and tried to figure out what they were half of my hour was up and I don't always have that much time to waste. We'r not all experts when it comes to computers so I'm sure a lot of us depend on your expertise to keep us this site clean, up to date and relevant. Can you help? Respectfully, Hank

Hi Hank,

We apologize if we've become a target for spam recently (maybe we should look at it as some bizarre form of flattery.) We delete an average of 10-20 spam mails per day and it's something we have to fight on a constant basis. We have made a point of catching it and deleting it as quickly as possible but , unfortunately, our administrator cannot accomplish this 24 hours a day. When you read a post that contains multiple links "levitra, cialis, viagra" etc, you can help us keep the site clean by reporting it. Please do not respond to any e-mail you don't understand, or open any links. Rest assured that the offensive e-mail will be dealt with shortly.

We have even created a special category for those that break the rules:

Perhaps there is some sort of plug-in or new members can require moderator approval before joining? Sometimes I log in to see pages of spam activity.

That definitely sounds good for us. Hank

You will be happy to know that you will be seeing far, far less spam these days. While we haven't found a viable way to track down spammers and hang them up by their toes, we have found a pretty good solution for blocking all those annoying advertisements. Yea!

I don't know if this belongs here or under, "Where did everyone go," but at six am this morning "Mother Hubbard's cupboard was bare." That's the first time I can remember logging on, which I always do first thing in the morning, and there were no unread posts since my last visit. What happened? HHH
